First, a little background.... I am certainly a child of the 90's. I'm 38 years old, graduated high school in 1996, and literally grew up and became a man listening to the soothing and emotional music of Boys II Men, so admittedly, I was already excited and bright eyed and bushy tailed when I finally got the chance to see them live for the first time at The Mirage. First of all, as far as sheer fun, this concert was spectacular. No opener or time wasting here, the singers come out and immediately the crowd went wild. I spend 99% of the concert on my feet, along with everyone else, singing along to all their classics from Motownphilly to It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday (done acapella). It was the only concert I have ever been to where I literally knew every single song they sang. When they took a break from their classics, they did a nice 30 minute set of Motown music like My Girl and others. The group is so intimate with the audience that there were several instances when the singers would come out into the aisles and dance with the ladies and men. They give out roses to ladies from stage at one point, and everyone is simply having a wonderful time. They are not just singers though. They are truly entertaining and the venue is quite intimate along for nary a bad seat in the house. I STRONGLY recommend Boys II Men at The Mirage for any child of the 90's. I can't wait to go again!
