Cocktail bar meets Viking metal ? Well, that's LBM for you and you'll love it.
I stopped in on Thursday night after work for a cocktail with a friend and my girlfriend joined us as well. Wearing a coat and tie straight from the office, I probably stuck out like the bowsprit on a viking longship, but no matter, there was no record scratch followed by skeptical sets of eyes on me as I entered like you see in the movies; just a pleasant hello and a menu.
The number #1 Rule at LBM is "Don't be a dick." Seriously. If you can follow that rule, then you can "Come in and get weird."
I started, I think, with the Upside Down, and followed it up with a Blood Eagle. I went back to the Upside Down, and then things started to get a little hazy after that... We also ordered a meat and cheese board, poutine, pork belly, and cauliflower to snack on while enjoying our lovely Lofn libations. The cauliflower was so good we actually ordered it twice.
In all seriousness, this is a great place for a quality cocktail. I spent a good portion of my time taking to Vinny, who was more than happy to share his knowledge of brews and spirits (and Viking torture). Blood Eagle you say? Trust me, don't ask. I can't get the mental image out of my mind!
Our time at LBM was one that the girlfriend and I will not soon forget. Really nice people, with the "I don't give a f*ck" attitude, that all of us can appreciate at one time or another. Jeg kommer tilbake.
