To start off with, I haven't been to an H&M in 10+ years and that was in Prague... if that tells you anything. I was hesitant to dive back in, but after seeing countless ads online and on TV for their new, more rock 'n' roll look, I made a point to check it out. Store: -very large, difficult to navigate in a short period of time. -designated sections for men, women, kids, plus size and accessories. -plenty of fitting rooms, never had to wait. -not very clean (lots of clothes dripping off hangers or lying on the floor), but I think this was the result of their clientele, not their staff. Location: -right off the Loop 101 near Westgate. Very convenient and easy to find. -parking very close to the H&M entrace, nice plus. Hours: -closes at 9PM, a little early for my taste. -I was grateful they allowed me to stay until ~9:15PM to finish shopping and checkout (however, they had turned off almost all the lights) Staff: I'm surprised to read the negative reviews about the staff being unhelpful and not friendly. I had a very different experience. -the floor staff that I saw were busily tidying the store as best they could, but stopped to help me not once, twice, but three times. Thank you to the polite blonde employee who tirelessly looked for a shirt I was looking for. -the fitting room attendant was very nicely dressed (defnitely rocking the new H&M look) and was very helpful and polite. Better than most department stores, I'd argue. -the checkout staff seemed a bit overwhelmed by the lines that had formed at closing time, but they regained composure and made a few jokes with me and I was out of there in a timely fashion. All in all, I'm loving their new marketing (it brought back an old customer: me!) and this store is convenient, reasonably priced ($5 tanks!?! what?!) and I enjoyed blowing my paycheck there.
