Nice little festival. If you pay full price, it seems a bit expensive being that you don't actually get much in return for admission. There are a few booths doing samples, but many are selling full price entrees or other vegan goods like clothing, chocolate, baked goods, etc. I did get a sample of Cedar's hummus, and a few coupons from some local veggie restaurants and products. Coronado Cafe (recently reopened as a vegetarian/vegan joint) had samples of a quesadilla that were awesome. I also discovered jackfruit as a meat substitute at this festival... Subsequently determined that I don't really care much for jackfruit, but a lot of people were really into it. There were yoga demonstrations and a kids area set up in the park so there was more to do than just the booths. I was there pretty early on Saturday and didn't witness any live music, but I think that came later. I did the festival solo, and it took me about a half hour to visit all the booths and grab a sample from most of them. I ended up getting a Groupon for $12 general admission, which got me in the gates for a first visit, but I'm not sure I'd pay again in the future unless there was a little more to offer in the vendor department. I didn't see much from bigger well-known veg brands either ... There are just SO MANY more veg options in the Valley, I felt this festival left a lot to be desired.
