If you wish you were at a bar on the south side, but happen to find yourself in Lawrenceville, Umami may be for you. The food here is good, but everything else is not. The evening I went, they had an extremely obnoxious DJ playing hip hop music at uncomfortable volumes that undoubtedly produce some hearing loss. I asked the server if they could turn down the music. They did not. Another server later asked me to move over closer to the loud music to accommodate a larger party. I don't think I will be going back.
