Currently I am pretty in pink, actually I am a little chipped and broken in pink. I do not blame Urban Nails though, as I usually am missing much larger chunks of polish due to the "hands-on" nature of my job. In fact I think I got a pretty solid week our of these nails. Not to mention that my toe nails are still going strong.
My attendance at this modern nail salon was due to Miss Shari M's stay-cation, and I am glad I was invited to take part. Let's start with how quickly they sat us down and began the pampering. We were fully walk-in patrons and they had no problem helping us out. Don't get me wrong, they were sufficiently busy, but were also sufficiently staffed. I really appreciated the pristine clean environment that surrounded each and every chair.
The manic-manicurists equally balanced speed and comfort, though I could have stood for a teeny bit longer on my foot massage. I enjoyed the casual way they allowed for conversation and interjected when necessary. I also am thankful that when I accidentally nicked my toe polish she didn't b@tch slap me, though I knew that she wanted to.
Slipping into the back room would normally incur fear, but this back area was also beautiful, modern, and full of cozy areas to read while you dried. While this back room was less conducive to conversation, we were dried in time to get out before the sheer boredom set in.
The cost was pretty low to standard at $37.00 after tax, and when I asked for other prices they seemed the same, as in $7.00 for a polish change.
Bottom line...bring on the poor man's massage from this spa joint any time. I will be back for my polish change shortly.
