there are a few Proudfoots shop around Scarborough.They are popular with people who don't want a massive shop but like lots of choice under one roof. Having said this the Scalby Road store has two floors.The upper floor is handy for lots of DIY stuff.There is a lot of hardware stuff,gifts cards garden ornaments etc. The lower floor has the usual supermarket stuff including a cut price brand .It is licensed and they have fruit and vegetables. They sell some hot food including cooked chickens and you can buy half of one. The butchery department is well stocked and well run There is some nice fresh bread and salads to complete a meal or a picnic in one of the beauty spots not far away. There is also a post office. The store and car psrk were recently enlarged so it is customer friendly.
