Popcorn ceilings. Stained bathtub. Holes in the drywall. Broken sink. Sigh. This hotel was probably one of the worst hotels I've stayed in and the price was astronomical for such a horrible room. The location is actually really great. There are lots of restaurants nearby and it's only 8 miles to downtown Phoenix. However the hotel itself was a complete disappointment especially since all the reviews I saw got us fired up for a great weekend in an amazing resort. I can't really speak for the amenities because we had a very busy two days and didn't get to check them out so this review is for the room only. Aside from the previously mentioned issues with the room, there was a giant hole that needed to be patched near the sink and it was dirty and unsightly. We didn't have any hot water and the air conditioner fought us tooth and nail to get it to a low enough temperature for sleeping. Not to mention the air conditioner made an ungodly clunking noise that startled us awake at least once an hour throughout both nights. There was dust CAKED on multiple surfaces including the sprinkler near the bed. The sheer curtain on the sliding glass door was covered in yellow paint stains. The bathroom was ridiculous. I could barely walk through the door without tripping over the toilet, the shower head had next to no water pressure and the shower curtain was stained and dirty and the light switch was on he outside of the bathroom. The tile grout was stained and dirty looking and the tile had this weird filmy slime on it after turn over service. We had to have the sink repaired on night one and I called for someone to come up. The maintenance guy just uses his master key and walked right in without knocking. He said he was told it was a vacant room. We could tell he was really embarrassed and felt really bad. So it seems the staff has some issues too. The one plus side is the room was quite spacious we had a seating area with a couch and tv and a counter for coffee above the mini refrigerator. Sadly those are the only positives. Needless to say I won't be recommending this hotel or ever staying there again.
