My husband and I decided to check out Fremont Street for the first time, and have mixed feelings. While we enjoyed the overall nostalgic feel of "old Vegas", with the old lit up signs, older hotels, and different feel, the lewdness of several of the street performers was disturbing and seemed to attract a different kind of crowd. The first performer we noticed after arriving was Elvis, who was performing on stage-he was good and there were a ton of people gathered around. It was neat to see the zipliners going by overhead, and the lit-up canopy covering the area was displaying selfies of visitors, and provided a cool, different feel inside. As we continued to walk down the street, we noticed several other performers-both on stages and on the street. I was shocked at how many families were here, and saw way more children than I should have in this type of environment. I definitely would NOT bring children here, as there was a lot of exposed boob, scantly dressed females, and other things inappropriate for children. Overall, I'm glad we checked it out so we can say we've been there, but I don't think we'd go back, unless they'd clean it up.
