As close to a NY style pizza in the west coast. As a native New Jersey/New Yorker I had this place on my bucket list. My wife and I tried to enjoy the mystery in finding the location. Hint: Find a hallway with a wall of vinyl albums. Is it the 1st floor or 3rd? I don't know, guessing is part of the fun. The two guys in front of me looked liked they were fellow New Yorkers so overheard their pick of slices and I trusted their choice and decided to try a slice of sausage and peperocini myself. Wow the cheese, the crust, the tomato sauce all the way to the dripping oil off the pizza screamed NY pizza. The sausage and peperocini were such a great compliment that from now on I will put peperocini on all my pizzas! Note the dining experience is more of a quick grab, eat standing up and go. So if you want to savor the moment I recommend ordering a pie to take out to the hotel rooom. Is it inconvenient to wait in line and pay premium price for a pizza yes, but it will be the best NY pizza you will have in the west coast.
