I've been coming here ever since elementary school and now I'm in the middle of high school, but that's enough times to know what to rate this place. Although the staff are very friendly, you notice that none of them know how to work with textured hair and none of the models up on the walls have textured hair. I came in one day with my naturally 3b hair hoping to get all the heat damaged parts cut off. Even I knew I had a plethora of split ends and brittle hair, but apparently the stylist I was working with couldn't even tell. She claimed my hair was more than healthy and took no more that 10 minutes to snip off an inch of my hair. Unfortunately, I had to come in 2 weeks later with my hair straightened for someone to actually be able to cut my hair. Not only that, but when shaving off parts of my hair, the cut wasn't all that great either. I first I had a half shaved head but the cut constantly came out messy and the designs were apparently too hard to do for any of the woman stylists. I only asked for 3 lines and everyone felt like it was too hard, so I had to wait until a male stylist came. Next I wanted to get front bangs and unfortunately, the stylist I was working with had never done something like it. The bangs were subpar and I ended up regretting ever getting them cut. She claimed it was due to me having a "cow-lick" but when I went to a different salon, they easily fixed it and said I had no cow-lick at all. Finally I wanted to get a nape undercut that ended right below the tip of my ears, but edges weren't even lined up and asking for a fade was apparently impossible due to none of the stylists knowing how to do so. In short, I wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone who wants to get their curls cut or want to get some really poppin short hair (designs, fades, or getting lined up).
