I booked this Hotel through Orbitz due to needing a last minute room for a business weekend. I wanted to save but also wanted something comfortable and safe. When I checked in, I was told that I would receive a non-smoking room. I had three suitcases from just flying in from LAS and I had to drag my bags one by one all the way down to the end of the hotel (seemed like two miles) alone...no help, no dolly. Then, I had to go up one flight of stairs. Upon entering the "suite" I was afraid to walk into the room bc it was dark even after turning the lights on. AC wall unit in the dining room/LR, and smoky hot in the bedroom. Bathroom smelled like piss and the floor creaked upon walking on it. Furniture was worn down and old, better furniture would be found in GoodWill. Although, it looked clean, it was filthy. Cover on bed was full of smoke and had cigarette burn holes on it. I took it off the bed and placed it on the floor. The towels and washcloths were dingy and looked yellow. The sheets appeared clean, although their was a stain on one side that looked like a tiny food stain that couldn't come out ( means no bleach was used). Well, I decided to stay one night and search for another place the following day bc I was exhausted from traveling and the heat. After turning the AC on blast to kill the smoke smell, I finally went to sleep on the pull out sofa, which I covered with the sheets. I slept in full clothing, didn't bathe. I ordered a pizza which I had to eat quickly and place in the refrigerator from fear of roaches and rats running out from the scent of it. I could hear everyone in the building talking, walking, moving around. So I decided to sleep with my pistol close to me. I woke up out of my sleep when I heard someone say "I'll kill you bit**"! After that, a prostitute was knocked at my door at least four times during the night. I didn't answer bc I didn't know her intentions and didn't want to go to jail for killing someone on a weekend of business. So on the fourth time, I called the office (around midnight) and a woman answers saying that the office was closed until 7 am and that she was there doing laundry. Okay? No one here at night, but you can pay someone to wash clothes? You have to be kidding me!? So I called police, explained the situation. I told them that someone was knocking on my room door continuously, and I thought she was a prostitute due to the time, her attire from looking out the peep hole, and the fact that I heard someone yelling "I'll kill you b***" prior to her coming over. I also told them that the office was closed and I didn't want to open the door bc if she and her pimp attempted to rob me that I would kill someone. Long story short, police showed up, which at this point he caught her knocking on my door a fifth time. At this point I heard her arguing with him back and forth then idk what happened. Hopefully she was arrested. I didn't go out of my room to see. The next morning, I called Orbitz for a refund. I explained the situation and they contacted the Hotel. The best thing about the entire situation, is that I was issued a partial refund (minus the the first night, which should have been free). This place jeopardizes your health and safety. I didn't expect the Marriott, but I was looking forward to a safe environment. There were no pots or cookware in the room. One roll of toilet paper, one tiny bar of soap, two towels and two washcloths which were both dirty. I used them as rugs and still walked on them with slippers on. Trashy, filthy. To top it off, on my way out an elderly woman was being carried out on a stretcher via EMS. Surprisingly, she was alive! Unless you're desperate for a rat hole to stay in, I'll pay $1000 before I ever come back to something like this. I didn't see any roaches or bed bugs but I'm sure they were their. I had to get my luggage out before I carried them with me. Disgusting, filthy, smoky place. Deserves no stars! Do not stay here!!!!! AC worked but ran so loud you couldn't hear the tv. The old school tube TV only had six channels that worked which were all scratchy, needed an antenna. There was a fan made in the wall from the bedroom to the living room, which in assuming was to circulate the air to the bedroom since there was no AC or air entering the room. Stove was falling apart, refrigerator had duck tape holding parts together. The two photos shown first are NOT at this hotel. This is not Extended Stay America, no complimentary breakfast, and no clean rooms.
