This place is very unorganized. I found out i was pregnant with my 3rd baby. Very excited, i called my midwife to make an appt. I found out they no longer took my insurance , so i was stuck going to iwomen health care. I wanted to see a midwife and was scheduled with maria or lupe first, but when i got there they said i was seeing amy. Okay no biggie. I filled out paperwork online which was not very user friendly. It also must not have connected on their end because on my 2nd visit the m.a. had to ask me all the questions again. i didnt appreciate that because some of those questions are personal and made me feel very uncomfortable. My first visit there i asked the receptionist if i needed to pee in the cup before my appt. I felt stupid for asking but i was always directed to do so at my past office so i figured it would be the same. They looked at me like, yah we will ask you to do that. Okay should i do it know while i wait? So rude. While some of the staff were pleasant and tried to help me out with my 2 kiddos some of the other staff were rude and unorganized. Meeting with amy i got a very phony vibe from her. The rooms were cold and not kid friendly which i wasnt used to at all. Valley women for women midwives had low lit rooms that were very inviting with a basket of toys and some books. I had to entertain my 1 and 2 year old in a room with nothing but medical equipment that they shouldnt touch. Next i was told to come back for bloodwork. I made an appt for bloodwork and an ultrasound/check heart beat since we hadnt seen one yet. We didnt hear a heartbeat so i assumed we'd do the ultrasound but amy said no and to wait a week. Fine. Got the bloodwork results back in which everything was normal. I asked what the hcg levels were and the receptionist had no idea what i was talking about and asked if i had gotten another test done. Really? So appt 2 was a complete waste of time. And i still have no idea how many weeks i am. I called today to schedule my ultrasound and the receptionist said there was nothing in my notes about scheduling one. Unorganized again!! She said she would have to get back to me very shortly. Its been 3 hours and im still waiting. I would never recommend this place to anyone. They are not pleasant. The midwife is phony and not pleasant. They are unorganized and do not keep accurate notes. I will wait until i can switch my plan just so i dont have to go back and drag my kids in there with me too. What a time waster.
