Summary: Had 5 different problems with the Service Department at Keffer Mazda. I will NEVER go back and advise you to do the same.
Initially, I was excited when a Mazda dealership opened up in Huntersville. I had previously purchased two cars at Montgomery Mazda in Charlotte, and had a GREAT experience (have also had a good experience with the service department there). However, I did not like having to drive all the way down there for service. As soon as Keffer Mazda opened, I took my 2014 Mazda 6 in for its FIRST oil change. Shortly after, I moved to Illinois and started using the dealership there. I took the car in for its second oil change, and they informed me that a cap was missing. So, as it turns out the mechanics at Keffer Mazda left off some cap. It only cost me 7 dollars to replace, but it was still unfortunate. This was the first strike. When I moved back to Huntersville a year or so later, figured that was an isolated incident and will give them another try.
My Wife's 2010 Mazda CX-9 has been making higher than normal road noise for about 6 months now, and it has been getting significantly louder during that time frame. I took it in to Keffer Mazda to see if they could figure out what the problem was. Note that every person that rides in her car comments on how loud that noise is, and asks what is wrong with her car. However, the "technicians" at Keffer said they did not notice anything. Something is definitely wrong and they don't seem to care. I have no idea why they don't seem to hear it. This was strike number 2.
I hit a big pothole and bent my rim, so I took my car to Keffer Mazda again to have the rim replaced, along with an oil change and a tire rotation. Two things went wrong here. First, they put on the wrong rim (seriously, the rim was the wrong color and everything). Second, they did not rotate my tires and I caught them red handed. I know they did not rotate the tires because the donut tire was on the front right when I brought it in, and the new (wrong) rim was on the front right. I confronted them desk clerk about this issue, and he took me to the mechanic that did the work. After fumbling all over himself for a while, he finally gave the excuse "It was because that tire had better tread so I left it there". So then why did you still charge me for the tire rotation? This was strike number 3 and 4. A week or so later the correct rim came in, and they put it on the vehicle, so at least they listened to me when I told them it was the wrong rim.
Finally, the door seal was falling on on my Mazda 6, and it is still under warranty, so I took it in to them to see if it is a covered item. I VERY CLEARLY explained that I only had 35 minutes and all I was looking for was for them to tell me if it is covered under the warranty, and how long I need to account for when scheduling an appointment to get it fixed. I was hoping that someone would walk out to my vehicle with me and just tell me then and there. However, instead they wanted to take my keys and whatnot. 45 minutes later my vehicle is still not ready, and they approach me and tell me they put on the wrong seal and have to go find the right one. I end up missing the conference call I was supposed to be on, and when I start explaining to the to the gentleman behind the counter that this is strike number 5, he simply says "I was not involved in those other incidents". Well, good for you, but you represent Keffer Mazda at the moment so it does not matter if it was you or one of your co-workers. He did not try AT ALL to keep me as a customer. Therefore, I am planning on driving all the way to Montgomery Mazda in Charlotte even for things covered under warranty because the mechanics at Keffer Mazda are incompetent.
