I like farmer's markets in general, and went to this one with high hopes. However, it was smaller than I would have guessed, although everyone seems to rave about it. It definitely has a cool vibe - all great produce and local merchants, but something felt like it was missing...maybe I'm just too picky? I guess I just prefer the huge farmer's markets like the one held up on Cactus Rd or some I've visited in CA. I was through every booth (while sampling and chatting) in about 15 minutes. Nevertheless, I snagged a bunch of good stuff, all locally grown and super cheap. I picked up an acorn squash, a bag of potatoes and some zucchini all for about $3. This place is still worth stopping by, in the spirit of neighbrohoodness, but if you're searching for an all day earth friendly activity, this may not be for you.
