I really, really wanted to like this place as a neighborhood small business and I've been in it three or four times trying to give it another chance or two.. or three.. but I think I'm done here. Here are my problem(s): they are a fresh juice bar, but you walk in and are met with the sight of nasty old fruit and wilted veggies that look like they could be two or three weeks old and I'm immediately put off thinking, "is that the quality of juice I'm drinking?"
My second problem is they don't even bother to make the juice fresh when you order it. Apparently they make their juice every three days and store it in these tubs that look like they don't get washed and when you order it, they just pour some out into a cup and stick a straw in it.
My third problem is, once they give you a SMALL cup of three day old juice from (probably three week old fruit) they charge you $9 for it, which is expensive even by better standards.
My fourth problem is, the staff are rude. Beyond just their attitude, about a week ago I went in, the juice was just under $9. I gave her $9 exactly so I had a small bit of change coming to me, and she didn't give me the change, nor did she even ask me if I wanted it. Granted, it was 3 or 4 cents, but it's the principal.. I sat there with my change purse open waiting for the change and she just stared at me. I know they want tips there, but when you act like you're too cool to be there, act as if I'm bothering you and all you do is pour me some pre-made juice from under the counter, sorry honey, you're not getting a tip from me.
I went in just yesterday thinking, "ok, one more shot.. perhaps I'll just ask them if they will make the juice fresh" and was greeted by a very friendly young man who, when I asked him if he could make the juice fresh said he was new and wasn't even sure how to use the machine and that the juice was made every three days (hopefully this means they've made some staffing changes and there is improvement on that front, but the product problem remains). He said he was very sorry but I walked out this time with no juice, and it will be my last visit.
I realize that this place offers more than just juice, like spa services, I guess? I can't comment about any of that, but if they can't get juice right I'd never let them touch my skin. Spa services aside, as a juice bar, this place sucks.. you'd be better off at Jamba Juice, and that's saying a lot.
