This was our first and last visit at J and G. The ONLY thing this restaurant has in its favor is the ambiance. In that regard it is a 5 star. It stops there. The Server was abrupt and defensive. Different servers bringing side dishes were untimely. Salads were salty, the steaks were dry with no taste, side order of mushrooms had an odd taste, rolls were white bread, shrimp cocktail had small shrimp and each steak sauce (3) was worse than the next. The French fries were cold and the mashed potatoes were overly salty. I was amazed that such a beautiful resort would have such inferior food and service. Other than the terrific ambiance, I can't think of one thing positive regarding the food or service. In total, this was an unbelievably BAD experience. They did take back the salad and fries however the server was argumentative that he sees the kitchen staff making the fries daily. Amazing........I am speechless.
