It was my first time donation, I arrived around 11 am. I then waited another hour and a half before being called back to watch a video, which took about an 20 minutes. Then around 1:30 (another hour), I get called back for them to put me in the system. I was in there for maybe 15 minutes, when we sent me back to the waiting area. About 30 minutes went by when they called me back to et screened. They have you go through some questions, they prick your finger, check all your vitals, and go over all your tattoos/piercings. This part took about 30 minutes. I then got sent to see medical where they examined me and did a physical, this part was pretty quick. Once done, they take your right away to the donation area.
Staff is very friendly in the donation area, but staff at the front desk look like a bunch of chickens running around with their heads cut off. They constantly called peoples names that had already been called back. This had to have been slowest portion of the whole process.
Unfortunately, I was able to finish donating because I was feeling faint, and almost passed out. Staff were very quick to help me feel better. After the second time of feeling this way they had to end my donation early. Luckily I was still paid and did donate maybe half of what I was suppose too. Maybe this wouldn't have happen if I wasn't in the waiting area for almost 4 hours.
There should be no reason it took that long, especially because I only had 3-4 people a head of me.
