I've been shopping for appliances for months now doing my research, etc. etc.... I was all set to buy online but figured I'd visit all the local appliance stores first. What I found was that their prices were better than most of the discount online stores and competitive with scratch and dent stuff sold out of warehouses. I had to buy top of the line washer/dryer for my house and good (but not top of the line) washer/dryer/refrigerator for a rental property. I initially dealt with Gary, who I felt was very professional and not at all overbearing. Here's where I feel they went above and beyond: I bought the wrong fridge. Totally my fault (wrong size). I called expecting to get put through the wringer, pay a bunch of restocking/shipping costs, etc, but to my surprise it was handled as if it were no big deal. Just had to pay the $30 delivery fee. I dealt with Kevin this time and he made what I expected to be a long painful ordeal a quick and easy transaction. I've read some so-so/bad reviews regarding other Spenser stores but I have to say I will absolutely go back here next time I need appliances as didn't experience any negative interactions. (One caveat: I just got the stuff....hopefully I'll have no product issues!)
