As other reviewers have said, DO NOT STAY HERE. DO.NOT.STAY.HERE. Unless you're a crackhead, methhead, pothead or hooker. Plenty of those in the immediate vicinity. 1 star is OVERLY generous for this place. The one star is for the friendliness of the front office staff, even if they aren't the most observant people, and the fact that the floors of the rooms are some sort of laminate (I hate carpet.) EVERYTHING is downhill from there. Parking is gated. That should have been my first clue. Next to a dispensary-second clue. If I wanted to smell skunk weed all night, I could have stayed home, where my next door neighbors are taking full advantage of recent legalization laws in CA. Not that the laws stopped them before. I digress. I go to check in, the front desk girl was helpful. Transaction goes smoothly, I prepare to go to my room. Upgraded strike plate on the door-makes me wonder how many times the SWAT team has raided the place. I don't want to know. Had to slam the door HARD to get it to shut, and the latch lock didn't work. Slamming the door shakes the entire floor, I'm sure the other patrons were thrilled with me. Very basic room but it was well kept and the floors and surfaces were clean. Soap only, no shampoo or lotion. Easily rectified, there is a dollar store down the road a bit. I stepped out to get shampoo and food, and when I got back, tried to log in to the internet. Nothing. No luck. So I call the front desk. "Internet is extra and you have to come down to the lobby, we don't give those codes over the phone." OK ... why wasn't it offered to me when I checked in??? Basic internet is $3 or so, upgraded is $6. Difference? Basic is for email and stuff, upgraded is for streaming movies. Basic is fine, thanks. I make my payment and she records my room number in a log book. By hand. Gives me my code, says it is good for 24 hours, I return to my room. Tried to log in. Nothing. No luck. I call the front desk. Reminder: there's only two people working it. "Oh, I don't see you having internet." I WAS JUST DOWN THERE, LITERALLY LESS THAN 5 MINUTES AGO. Do the two of you not communicate with each other or share resources??? Finally called the help desk number on the bottom of my wifi code slip - spent ten minutes or so on the line with them, for them to tell me "oh it looks like there's several routers being affected. I'll put in an expedited service request." In the interim, I keep trying to log in and finally get connected...it is the slowest internet connection I have ever experienced, and I started on dial up! (no comments about age, please) Takes me 2 hours to do what should have taken me 15 minutes. By that time I am exhausted and go to sleep. Sort of. Noisy. Holy crap, was this place noisy. Trains, planes and automobiles all clearly audible - I even checked at one point to make sure the window wasn't open, it was THAT loud. I have slept through earthquakes and hurricanes so this cannot be assigned to any remote thought of me being a "light sleeper." I get up an hour before my alarm. Plenty of time to get ready. Turn on the shower ... hot water in just a minute or two, great! Water pressure is shit. I have seen slow leaks with better pressure. Finally get all the shampoo and soap rinsed off, step out, grab a towel- It's dirty. THE TOWEL IS DIRTY. Not worn, not threadbare, DIRTY. I drop it to the floor, luckily had better luck with the other towel. I say other because there was a whopping two towels, one washcloth in the room. What do they provide for couples? An extra washcloth? Packed up and left ASAP. I wouldn't stay here again if it was free for a month. Oh and cell reception was also shit. I had to make several phone calls and abandoned them all in short order because the reception kept dropping, and the other person was only getting about every fourth word. My texts also got hung up and some sent multiple times. I was near the pool and it looked dirty as well, like it hadn't been cleaned in months. Hell no I didn't go in. DO NOT STAY HERE.
