I was super excited to visit Mitchell's after learning about the ice cream flavors with local cheese and beer!
I have to say, the Christmas Ale Ginger Snap ice cream was disappointing. The flavor was okay, but the ginger bread was a strange consistency in ice cream, and there was a lot of it.
The Chevre Strawberry Rhubarb with Lake Erie Creamery goat cheese was intense. I tend to like strong flavors, but this was very strong. Though I really enjoyed it, I thought it would be better with more ice cream and less of everything else.
All in all I liked this place, and wanted to really like it. The waffle cones were great, staff was friendly, and I loved the train running on its ceiling-mounted tracks. I hope to go back soon and try some other reviewers' favorite flavors!
