I've been visiting this park for nearly 15 years, and it's a great little getaway. I often use the running/walking trial for some exercise, or I when I want to just be by myself and reflect, taking in the beautiful views of Lake Norman while sitting on a park bench late afternoon. Excellent place for a picnic or first date. Weekdays is free to enter, but there is a charge on weekends. There is also a childrens playground for the moms to bring their little ones, and public restrooms as well. One if my favorite "alone time" places. : )
