This is a review of the customer service that I experienced with the Salon. With the glowing reviews on yelp and a precious week of vacation, I decided to make an appointment for a haircut at Eddy's on Coventry despite living far away. My appointment was at 1pm. I underestimated the traffic on Ceder road and called the Salon at 1:00pm to let them know that I will be 10 minutes late (I was close according to GPS but also had to save time for parking). The receptionist checked with the hairstylist (Megan) I was booked with and told me that I am too late for the appointment because there is another customer right after me. I was not happy but also appreciate that the stylist wants to have enough time for each customer (would appreciate more if the stylist could talk to me directly and would appreciate it if the appointments are not so tightly scheduled). I told the receptionist that if this is the case it seems I would have to cancel this appointment. Without me having an opportunity to say more or apologizing to me, she just HUNG UP ON me. I called again after finding a place to park temporarily, asking whether there is any appointment later in the afternoon so that I don't have to drive one hour back without achieving anything. The two times (7pm and Saturday) she gave me don't work for me. As I was thinking about whether I should schedule an appointment next week, she started to lecture me on how it is not possible to keep an haircut appointment if I am "so late" for it with an irritated attitude. And I never ask for that in the two conversations we had!!! Throughout the process, I experienced the receptionist as slightly hostile, rude, and impatient. I don't know whether this is how she normally works with customers. But I am very unhappy with the way I was treated. I think the stylists at the Salon may be excellent otherwise there wouldn't be so many good reviews. But will I schedule another appointment at Eddy's on Coventry? No way. There are many great Salons in the area and I have no interest in going to a place that doesn't treat its customers with basic respect.
