Three words: Ding Dong Burger. One of the best things about Pinky's is the opportunity to order a 5 oz burger a la carte for under $5. The Ding Dong Burger is by far the best of the lot: slathered with peanut butter, honey cilantro slaw, and Sriracha, it is a wonderful expression of Asian-inspired flavor. You may ask yourself, "That title, though... am I eating a racist burger?" The answer, as it turns out, is no: http://www.thai-language.com/forums/t/translation/basic/t7168 Anyway, Pinky's is a gem of a place. Divey, cheap, fun, and delicious. The beer and drink specials will treat your wallet with kid gloves while the food, most of it heavily fried, will make your waistline expand. But, the flavors are worth it, goddammit. They have these awesome crab hush puppies of which you can't just eat one. They serve delicious local dishes, like fried squash and fried pickles. They have some awesome all-beef hot dogs. They feature a variety of local beers for next to no money. AND! They're open till 11 pm on a Sunday! Perfect for late eaters like me.
