I was allured by the low cost as I booked thru Priceline. It read as though their location was at the airport but after I booked it was clear the location was not. It required two shuttles; one from the airport to the rental car building, then you have to wait in the parking lot for the Ace shuttle. The driver was professional. Following the second shuttle, We had to wait 20 minutes in line just to start our check in. During the wait we witness unhappy customers. I should have known better and just left. Esmeralda, our customer service rep, was initially polite but was not forthright regarding their insurance policy, which is absolutely outrageous. She manipulated us and added supplemental insurance we did not want or need, nor did we consent to. Once I noticed she had added it, she was apathetic regarding the miscommunication. She continued to imply that I was not listening or paying attention, making it appear to be my fault for not understanding. The cost went from $192 to $350 after she snuck that on our bill. A simple call to the insurance company alleviated the insurance debacle. FYI, the loss of damage policy she tried to add for $24.95/day costs me $25 every 6 months thru my insurance provider. I left feeling so used. Inside the rental place was dark and unwelcoming. The car was decent looking but smelt terrible inside. Like someone used grape air freshener to cover up something very awful. We felt so disappointed after that experience. It's difficult to express the dismay through just a review. I've learned that cheap means cheap and with rental car companies, you pay for what you get.
