After years of cutting my own hair and dying it myself, i decided to treat myself to a salon in hopes of a decent experience. Ive had terrible experiences in the past where an artist cuts my hair way too short or wasnt able to cut it the way i wanted it to. After this experience it just made me even more against salons. I have dark dark almost black hair, which was at the time bleached to light brown. My goal was to get a silver/grey hair colour.
I went to my appointment, as scheduled, i was given tea to drink as i waited. The owner ( i believe ) came to talk to me and look at my hair. I told him i wanted my hair to be a silver/grey tone and that my hair has already been bleached once a few months ago. He told me one price and told me that each bleaching process would cost. I agreed to ONE bleaching process to see how light my hair would turn out.
I was set up with a stylist that could only speak mandarin and broken english, so communication was already lacking there. Another young male helped with my hair bleaching and his communication was better and i was able to understand him.
After the first bleaching process i was then bleached AGAIN without permission!!! I simply thought this was part of the process. During that process, the lady gave me a book to select what colour to tone it. I simply chose a light blue colour hoping it would turn out as a pastel colour. Even then i was confused as to why i had to choose these colours.
At the end of the process, my hair was TEAL BLUE. I was shocked. If i wanted this hair colour i couldve dont it at home with my own products ive used for years. Confused, i went to talk to the owner ( i believe ), and he had told me the price. over $320!!! He told me i had to pay for the bleaching process which i had apparently done TWICE, PLUS i had to pay for the toning. Paying for the hair drying i understand because it was on their site and we had spoken about it before hand. I was outraged. Absolutely speechless. The young male artist did a good job as a hair artist and wished i had tipped him, but from how much it cost in the end i wasnt able to.
Conclusion.
This place LACKS communication. And if the artists arent able to communicate with you, why would you leave your hair in the hands of an artist/company that doesnt know what you want. It has been a year since i have been there and trust me, i will not go back again. I highly do NOT recommend this place to those who dont speak mandarin and to those who doesnt want to get robbed of their money.
