There is much to be desired for Excalibur as a hotel and for its incredulousness to charge $100+ per night for their standard rooms when the place looks and feels run down. Examples for which this place warrants 2 stars: I found a small beetle-like insect crawling on the carpet floor in my room on the very first day; the room's toilet water tank makes inexplicable noises; and power outlets are loose in their sockets. There's a low-resolution flat panel TV and a loud climate-control (AC/heater) unit installed in the room. Excalibur includes domestic long distance calls as part of their hotel fee, which is pointless as most everyone uses a cell phone. One positive feature of Excalibur is their fitness center, which is a nice, modern, clean facility with all the basic cardio and weight machines.
