Prices here are better than at REI and for my purposes, the selection is better. I've been to this Dick's a few times. Once was for soccer gear for my tot. The selection was great and the prices were the best in town. Most recently, I went to Dick's looking for a tent. Nearly all the tents were on display, which made choosing a tent a lot easier. REI had only one or two tents on display, which is understandable given their crowded store. I like the layout of Dick's, the sales they run and the quality of the merchandise they sell. Why no fifth star? Well, I was looking at tents for a considerable amount of time in the morning, with only one or two other customers in the whole store. I was not asked once whether or not I needed help. I saw someone, made eye contact and then he rushed elsewhere. I did need help because the box was more than 50 lbs and I had my daughter with me. I was upstairs and I had to get all the way to the checkout with my daughter holding my hand on the escalator. I think there is an elevator, but with my hands full, I couldn't be bothered to look for it. I will certainly be returning to Dick's. I would just appreciate a little more customer service.
