I just watched my housemates put down their beloved cat, Maggie in the living room of our home. Maggie had been ill, but condition had deteriorated rapidly these last couple of days. My housemates wanted to do right by her and have her final send off where she was the most relaxed -at home.
Dr. Laura arrived to our home and was so empathetic, professional and just a nice human being. She was comforting without being disingenuous; she was medical without being cold. She was super respectful and very calm. She explained the procedure in such a way that it felt zen and almost reinforced their decision to euthanize their pet.
Obviously, no one wants to do this, but this service is so much more calming for not only the animal but for the people as well. I would highly recommend Dr. Laura and her team if you ever come to a place where you need someone with calm compassion to help your pet.
