I went in for a consultation with Zxyro prior to getting my hair done. My natural hair is black and curly. I was looking to lighten up my hair and add a pastel blue/purple color to it. Zxyro was very confident when he told me that we would be able to get it to the desired color. He informed me of how great the products that they use at their salon are and how it would leave minimal damage to the hair when bleaching. I was of course very excited to hear this as I have always been TERRIFIED of bleaching my hair for that very reason.
He ended up bleaching it 3 times in order to get it to the desired lightness and remove any yellow tons. All this took about 8.5 hours. By the end of the session there were a few blotchy blonde strands and my roots were green rather than a darker ash color. Nonetheless, he brought me back the next day to fix it up which I really appreciated and gave me a tube of lilac hair color to touch my hair up as needed. After the second session, although there was no more blotchy strands, the color was much darker than I hoped (dark gray). I was a little concerned but didn't panic as he told me that it would eventually wash out.
When I went home I noticed my hair was feeling a little stiff but I just assumed it was from the hair spray he put in my hair. After washing it the first time, I released that it wasn't the hair spray and that my hair was SEVERELY damaged :( I can hardly run a brush through my hair and I am forced to put my hair in a bun everywhere I go.
In the end, I got a refund and was given a mask to treat my hair at home. I did not get the color I asked for and my hair is now in the worst condition it has ever been :( More than anything, I am sad as my hair grows slow to begin with. I just wish I would have known before hand that this would happen. I was definitely misinformed.
