This is my favourite oyster restaurant in Toronto. I've been here for the last three birthdays and for other casual outings. I first tried Kushi oysters here and now I can't get enough. The staff is always great: friendly, knowledgable and patient (for first-timers, this is key! You don't want to have a first bad experience with oysters lol). They even shucked us a few oysters on the house so we could try it before we bought a full plate. This really helped me decide which types of oysters I preferred (I found out I enjoy the milky, sweet melon-like tastes of Westcoast oysters and the Eastcoast oysters were a bit too salty and coppery for me). I've tried their other menu items in Toronto and in Vamcouver: Manhattan clam chowder, steamed mussels, hot smoked salmon, traditional shrimp cocktail. These items aren't consistent from restaurant to restaurant. For example, in Toronto the chowder was a little sour but in Vancouver it was very rich and peppery. The hot smoked salmon in Toronto was amazing and it was limp and slimey in Vancouver. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this restaurant.
