Stopped by here on the way to Death Valley from Vegas. It is pretty convenient to go to if you are going that way, just off the road from Beatty into the park. It is federally owned property, but it doesn't seem like BLM keeps up the property very much. But in a way, it is actually pretty neat to see these century-old buildings in their state of decay, not preserved like most places. Definitely not so much of a "touristy" place. Not a "haunted" ghost town, although I certainly did get an uneasy feeling hanging around the bottle house, and also by Mona Belle's grave in the "red-light district" area. Not much in the way of facilities, but it works for the place. I'm glad I stopped by, although it would have been a lot if I hadn't been heading that way. 3.5 stars.
