Love this place! Before Sumac, whenever I craved Lebanese food, I would either make it myself or turn to Boustan. While Boustan is still very much a favorite of mine, Sumac takes Montreal Lebanese food to a whole new level. They use super fresh ingredients, the dishes are perfect every time, and the portion sizes are huge. Of course, not as cheap as your Boustan or Amir, but considering the quality and the amount of food, the prices are still fantastic. Try everything on the menu! Highly recommend the hummus fries, the chicken schawarma, the fried eggplant salad, garlic labneh... to name a few! There's always a lineup here, so if you live in the area, try to call ahead for take out. Dining in is also a great experience -- fantastic ambiance.
