T. Cook's is a beautiful restaurant hidden inside the Royal Palms Resort. The atmosphere is intimate and romantic - there was even a wedding reception while I was there for dinner! I also appreciated that the staff was friendly and eager to give us the best service possible. On the savory side of the meal, I had the short rib (à la carte) with the whipped potatoes, and I was very pleased with my choices. The short rib was extremely tender and fell apart easily with a fork (my favorite part of any tasty short rib). I also enjoyed the whipped potatoes and roasted Brussels sprouts. For dessert, we had a sampling of 3 desserts (I came here with my parents so these weren't all for me, unfortunately). My favorite was the Peach Bread Pudding, which was the seasonal at the time. The bread pudding was moist and super rich in flavor, but the peaches lightened it up nicely. I also enjoyed the Crema Catalina creme brûlée, though it was a little toooo heavy on the citrus for me to finish. Finally, the Mocha Torte was beautifully presented, but also a little too decadent and chocolate-heavy for me. Or maybe the Old Fashioned Bread Pudding had already won me over. Either way, I would recommend T. Cook's for a nice dinner out, and take some time to explore the resort grounds while you're there!
