I stumbled on this place between meetings. When you enter you are greeted by friendly weight staff. I was seated right away. i ordered the Panang Curry with chicken, which is my go-to in Thai restaurants. The portions were large and the food came quickly. The prices are also reasonable. Of the various Thai places i've been too in Madison this curry was the best! (better even than hay long bay - which is where I normally go for Thai - fusion) In fact the curry reminded me of a Thai restaurant that I frequent back in New York. I look forward to coming back to Monsoon Siam again and trying some of their other dishes.
Update: since writing this post I have returned a few times and the food was not as good. I don't know if the chef has changed or the recipes, however the curry has become milder and less flavorful. Don't let the Midwest change you! Let your spicy flag fly!
