I was told by the emergency room dr. that if I left against her recommendation of being admitted (even though I had been treated and already had an appointment scheduled to see a specialist) that my insurance co. would not cover the cost of my emergency room visit. This was untrue and I filed a complaint with patient relations only to receive a letter from the CEO that he apologizes I "feel" I was not given a choice to leave. I am stuck with a $1300 bill. I was not even treated in the hospital. I waited for 2 days to see their specialist who assured me I was not in any danger. This is so wrong. I have never felt so ripped off in my life. I could not be more disappointed. Also, there was pain med on my chart that I was not given. Apparently one of my nurses has a drug problem.
