I was not even aware that Applewood Pet Resort was reviewed on yelp.com or I would have reviewed it a long time ago. We have been taking our various dogs to Applewood for over twenty years and we have always been pleased and our dogs have never had any ill effects (physical or mental) when they return home. I have always had rescue dogs who are genuinely loved and spoiled but have never been made to feel that my dogs didn't belong there. I have a very shy six year old catahoula mix who is afraid of everyone and everything. He has been going to Applewood since we adopted him at six months and he seems to really like it there. He never seems fearful when we drop him off. The groomers do an excellent job giving our dogs a bath and brush before they come home. I have never had our dogs look so good. Yes, Applewood is expensive but last year I made the mistake of trying a new kennel that seemed very nice and was cheaper, but when all was said and done by the time they nickle and dimed me it was more expensive. To top it off one of our dogs came down with a bad case of gastric distress which required a vet visit and medication. Never had that at Applewood. I cannot say enough positives about it.
