I have been to Bluephies before but it has been a while since my last visit. This time it was an impromptu Saturday brunch: short wait to be seated, friendly hostess and waitress. I ordered a bloody and the traditional eggs Benedict. My friend ordered the sorbet mimosa and the avocado extravaganza scrambler. Her's looked delicious but I know mine tasted delicious. I am not sure what they do with the hash browns but they were savory, crispy (but not dry): I usually leave most of the potatoes because they are either tasteless or dry - but I finished every.single.bite of these; in fact I was even eyeing up the potatoes on my friends yet unfinished pile when I had eaten all of mine. The Bloody Mary had plenty of zip (but not spicy) and the poached eggs were perfectly cooked( for me that is solid whites with a creamy runny yolk - if that isn't how you like it you may want to request they poach yours a little longer). My only complaints were that my friend's mimosa was pretty small (a few sips at best) and the homemade hollandaise could have used a little more "umph": it was lackluster to my taste. But I would still reorder it anytime.
