I don't get it. I know everyone raves about this place but it missed the mark for me. My wife and I made reservations and decided to see what the buzz was about. We had drinks while we waited, bar was very full. We had good service, waiter had to be reminded a couple of times for my beer but wasn't a big deal. My big complaint was the food, we started with Miso soups and edamame, nothing elaborate, is what we expected. Then we got our roles. They were bland. To be fair we tried the six grain rice rather than the white, that may be why it was so bland. I'm an eater and I left food on the table. I may give it another chance but for all the fan fair I just don't see this place as special.
