Of course they could have even more kinds of cheeses (well, actually maybe not), have a faster check-out line, add a little more flair to their store and have a lot more space, but overall it is difficult to fault this place for variety, quality, friendliness and knowledge of cheese. These guys have all sorts of Ontario Cheddar (my favourite), Quebec (if you like blue cheeses) and international cheeses. They are happy to allow you to sample and recommend specific cheese and, you know what, they usually are spot on with their recommendations. The lady, who has been there forever and even worked in Markham before, really knows her stuff for example. I asked for something similar to Gruyere (from Switzerland) and her recommendation of Dutch Vermeer was spot-on and just what I was looking for. She even suggested and sold a fruity dessert cheese to my friend that was precisely what she sought. if you have not tried a cheese like Bouq ask them for it. Don't forget the Ontario Cheddar, which is tasty and actually not salty. The store also carries Greek dips and artisan food items.
