This is a great FREE family event! This is our 3rd year attending and love it. There's plenty of free activities, work shops, and entertainment for both kids and adults. My son spent 30 mins at the ukulele corner learning a few things. It's best to go early before the people start piling in and the lines start getting hectic. We got there around 10:30 am, grabbed a bunch of food from 3 places, and shave ice. We waited no more then 5 mins in each line. Once it hits about 12 - 12:30 pm, it starts getting pretty packed the lines start getting a good 20 - 30 mins deep. Last year we didn't arrive till 1:00 pm and they had already sold out of some of the food (like poke), so it is best to arrive early to avoid crowds, lines, and missing out on ono grindz. As for parking, there are many nearby parking structures that charge $10 for event parking. However we never stay more then 2 - 3 hours so I like to park at a nearby meter for $2 an hour (plus they have mobile apps so I can extended my meter time from my smart phone if needed without leaving the event). Bring a blanket, chairs, and or umbrella's, and just sit back and enjoy the music, people, and good eats.
