Bottom Line: Reasonable prices, efficient, honest
I just had a travel medicine visit here. As others have noticed, it's not the prettiest office, but who cares. The care that Dr. Scappatura delivered was very efficient...I was seen within minutes of arrival. Above-all, he was very no non-sense and honest. I'm quite informed about travel health issues, so would have detected BS in seconds. In fact, he even talked me out of getting a Yellow Fever booster, as the World Health Organization is likely to change the rules in a year to 1 shot per lifetime. Pretty impressive when he gives up pure profit to save me money.
He's also incredibly informed on up-to-the-minute data and ready to discuss cost-benefit analysis based on the price of vaccines versus travel risk. He has a computer monitor set-up to show the patient direct links to information like a malaria map or statistics on the efficacy of Dukoral.
As for price, this is pretty much as cheap as it gets:
$40 for an initial visit. $20 for a follow-up.
His vaccine prices are on the low-end & no per-shot administration fees.
Not trying to upsell patients either.
Most clinics don't post their prices, and after a few phone calls, you'll learn way.
After this visit, I got exactly the pre-travel medication I needed in a timely, efficient office visit that wasn't the least bit unpleasant. I highly recommend this clinic.
