** I should point out first off that this place is closed in winter, as I found out the hard way when I walked by a few weeks ago. I've never understood people who say that ice cream doesn't taste good in winter, but apparently enough people feel that way for the place to close down for 6 months. Let's all hope the people of Kem Coba are enjoying their hibernation. If you're planning to visit, make sure you check with them in advance if they're open. Now, on to the actual review..
I've had ice cream here a couple of times, and it's easily the best I've had. What really sets them apart is their flavours, they have the standards like chocolate ad strawberry, but also some really interesting ones like soursop, masala chai and hibiscus (highly recommended!). They also change their flavours regularly, so to use gamer lingo, lots of replay value. The ice cream tastes very fresh; you taste less sugar and more of the natural flavour. It's a bit expensive considering the portion size, but absolutely worth experiencing. You'll find it hard to go back to regular ice cream!
You'll see a long queue to get in on those blazing hot Montreal summer days - consider it a testament to how good it is. A perfect pit stop while exploring the Mile End.
