If you are a oyster bar fanatic and lookin for some louisiana style cooking without the Vegas crowd...look no further. This is Las Vegas's hidden gem for an oyster bar. Yes, its located in Palace Station (North of the Vegas strip). Located near the back of the casino. The Broiler "the restaurant" is boring IMO. The real action, food and fun is at the Oyster Bar. The bar only seats about 16 people and can sometimes have a long wait. Its hit or miss. Seating overlooks the crazy-looking cooking contraptions that make your meal...while munching on your bread. Food: I recommend the Palace Pan Roast (the one with everything in it & most popular) and had it with rice (I get the rice on the side, to enjoy every bite individually!) I've had the Pan Roast with pasta before and the pasta takes away from all the flavor, and was not as good. I also had/tried the oysters, clam chowder (red and white - I recommend the white)...NO complaints here, pure hardy goodness! Atmosphere: Older crowd/older casino vibe (it is Palace Station...ya know?), but everyone is friendly. Staff is great and makes my every visit that much better. Jennifer (server/waitress) sweet gal that makes you feel at home. JJ (one of the chefs) is hilarious! He seems quiet....and then he'll randomly make the most hilarious comments or convos with you. I try to come here everytime I am in Vegas. Highly recommend if you like seafood/oysters. They do have a location in Chino Hills and also therr us also Ritters in HB, Costa Mesa....its okay, but not as good as the Vegas location for some reason.
