Wanda is an institution. She turned a nasty corner of Kensington Market into an oasis of lovely food. Her specialty is pie -- as the name suggests. Caterers use her pies all the time, and their kitchen is always working hard at huge orders. You can also try a slice by stopping by, or get a pie for home. It's not cheap (nothing here is), but business is still good, which tells you that they are top notch. Knocks the socks off Dufflet. By the way, it's also rammed around holidays, so get your order in early. I often go here for lunch. Their food is vegetarian (not vegan), and all made in-house. They do great soups, and occasionally the veggie mufaletta....zounds it's good. Try the west african nut soup, also amazing. I'd give it 4 stars, as a lunch place, because service is a bit slow, and the menu thins out in summer, for some reason.
