Pep Boys for the most part is like many of the other chain part stores, what makes this one different is the Parts Manager, Ray. I have a Checker/Oriley's outside my front door. I drive a mile down the road to Pep Boys because Ray never tells me that he can't find a part. I have a 1965 Ford I like to call "FrakenTruck" because it is the conglomeration of at least 5 different vehicles spanning 30 + years of Detroit steel. Any place else I go the guy at the counter refuses to help unless I specify Year and Model. Most of the stuff on my truck is a shot in the dark as far as guessing the origins, sometimes I'm not even convinced every part on it is from a Ford. If I am having issues with part replacement or compatibility Ray always comes trough for me. If he doesn't know the answer he finds someone that does. If you have problems with other parts stores try the 35th & Cactus Pep Boys.
