So I read a lot of reviews before we came here and I was a little unsure of our pick. We were a party of 5 at roughly 1:45 in the afternoon on a Tuesday.
Lets start with the good. Seated quickly by a very polite hostess. We were able to pick our table and got to sit in a section we desired. As the price is assumably for the atmosphere it was decent (would be great of there were fish and not empty tanks). The food was also pretty good, nothing special but not bad by any means. Although I cannot speak to any fish as we avoided it due to the overwhelimg complaints. The portion size was large too and we all left full. We had the lava cake and despite there no longer being a sparkler it was great. The slightly older gentalman who is the manager was very attentive and helpful. Along with serving our food and drinks he was the one who brought all our requests like ketchup etc. There was also a young attractive woman server with dark hair and black earrings running her butt off to serve plates to many, many tables.
Now the bad... My wife's drink arrived after the food. We had to ask for silverware. There is clearly a disconnect between the front and back of house. The chef's/cooks were serving tables during our entire visit. Our waitress was not very attentive and walked past several times without checking in. Many of the servers were simple not doing very much while the manager, hostess, chefs and the one waitress were running the whole time.
Overall it wasn't bad. I will admit the lack of fish is increditablly disappointing. One of the things that is a cornerstone of the brand and it's missing. Assuming you are willing to overlook that and want to have a good time with the kids in the rainforest it should be a good time. Be willing to pay for the experience tho. We had a good time but might not be at the top of our list on the next visit.
