I wanted to come back to give an update on my first review. With the help of the staff at Oak Tree, my elderly pet rabbit was able to live two more months in relative comfort. As my rabbit's health started to decline at the end of the second month, I always felt like the staff at Oak Tree and I were on the same page regarding her care. It was my wish to keep her content and comfortable, and I never felt pressured by the vet to put her through all kinds of tests or give her a bunch of different medicines. Most importantly, Oak Tree was incredibly patient with us - always answering my numerous questions and even spending half a day with my bunny attempting to get a urine sample (when you're dealing with a bunny - nothing is easy)!
A week after I had to put her to sleep (again, my choice that the vet supported), I received the nicest sympathy card in the mail that had personal messages from all the Oak Tree staff members on it. I'd like to stress again that I felt SO CARED FOR during every step of the heart-breaking process that is saying goodbye and letting go of a beloved animal companion.
My sincere thanks to the Oak Tree staff for their kindness, patience, and care they provided for my sweet rabbit in her final days. I will definitely go back when I adopt a new animal friend sometime in the future. :)
