I love this place! Especially at happy hour, when select appetizers are half price. The bar has a good selection of beers on tap, video poker, and you can SMOKE! Now I know that might turn some away, but if you can't handle smoke, you can eat in the dining room - no smoking there. I have only ordered two things at McMullen's; the fish and chips and the Caesar salad. The fish and chips have got to be the best in Vegas, possibly the best in Nevada. Battered cod perfectly deep fried so the crust is light and crunchy, and the fish is cooked perfectly. McMullen's take on a Caesar salad is inventive; whole romaine lettuce leaves wrapped in mozzarella cheese, drizzled with a house made dressing and sprinkled with very garlicky croutons. It's a bit messy, enough for two, and quite delicious. I don't know why Yelp lists McMullen's under the heading "breakfast and brunch," when most of the menu seems devoted more towards dinner. I check out the menu every time I go (even though I always order the same thing), and it's very eclectic. The meat pies look delicious, and I've promised myself that the next time we go, I'll try the curry. The service is good, and the ambience is friendly. The dining room can get a bit noisy, but it's the happy noise of people having fun. However, if you don't minding waiting for one, there are a few tables tucked away in corners where the sound is muffled a bit. Make sure you try the IPA Ranger beer that's on tap. It's a bit fruity but finishes with that bitter taste we all expect from a well-crafted beer. And it's ice cold out of the tap. In fact, have one for me too! Whatever you do though, do NOT miss this gem of a pub!
