Absolutely love this place. The selection of produce is absolutely wonderful and the prices tend to match or beat your local no frills, food basics, or price chopper.
The freshness of vegetables tends to be better then that of fruit, especially during the winter months. Although they quite commonly offer reduced price fruit at unbelievable prices which is great for anyone into jam making or canning.
The meat and fish selection is also great, with prices being highly competitive. Now the displays for meat and fish don't look the cleanest, but I have not experienced any problems and I have been buying most of my fresh fish and meat there.
Recently go some red snapper which was just unbelievable.
As mentioned the place is not the cleanest and is extremely busy. It does usually empty out drastically about 1 hour before closing which is 9:30 pm. So I you want to avoid crowds then show up late.
Don't expect any sort of customer service as all workers on the floor are typically stocking, and more then that they make it a habit not to answer your questions.
For prepackaged items or canned goods, purchase elsewhere as prices tend to be a little steeper here for those goods.
When here, make sure to get some takeout. It's good.
